Which Math Do I Take?

I'm going to be a freshman majoring in physics at CAS next year. I got a 5 on AP Calc BC. It says I'm placed out of Calc II, the physics department says I should take Multivariable (Math 1920, 2220, 2240) and also Linear (Math 2940, 2210, or 2230) and Differential (Math 2930) I don't think this ones next Which do I take? Calc II, one of the Multivariables or Linear? Of the courses offered which would you also recommend?

Don’t take 1910 if you already have the AP credits but want an easier experience, there are tons of horror stories floating around about those unfortunate freshmen who dropped out of Engineering or physics because Calc 2 completely screwed them over. Unless you have an almost geometric intuition of calculus, and I’m not talking about the algebraic parts like derivatives and integrals, you’re gonna have a bad time in that class. Multivar in comparison is (according to a friend that decided to forgo his AP credits) much easier.

^Agreed. Skip 1910 if you can, and move on to 1920 (1920 is required for ALL engineers). If you forgot a lot of Calc BC, just review it during the summer before you get here (the main calc BC topics are primarily vectors & parametric/polar calculus and some basic integration/derivative techniques).

Okay 1920 it is! Thanks a lot guys!
