Which math SATII to take? Big Dilemma inside...

<p>I took Ic the first time and got a measly 640. I've heard that the scale on IIc is much more forgiving and easy to score high on if you know your stuff but the fact is I'm not sure I do. I passed with a B in Pre-Calc and I found it difficult to remember all of the concepts for the final in the class. I'm just overall not very solid in math and don't want to blow my last chance taking the IIc if I won't do well. </p>

<p>Very generally what kind of things do I need to know for IIc? I heard that a TI-89 with a few programs can help a lot but I don't have a TI-89. Is it possible to do very bad if you took all the classes and passed with decent grades but are not solid with the concepts?</p>

<p>I'm in the high 700's on the SATI math so I'm fundamentally set with Ic I believe but the small mistakes on Ic hurt a lot. </p>

<p>What would you recommend for a person like me? I'm not by any means bad at math, and I'm probably being overly cautious but I just can't afford any wrong choices at this point.</p>

<p>eh...you need to be solid in precal to score well. The curve is better, but you have to remember the type of people you're taking the test with - people who are usually pretty good at math. i recommend retaking the IC.</p>

<p>why don't you take a few practice tests to see where you're at?</p>

<p>the actual test level is roughly in between princeton review and barrons</p>

<p>I'm also wondering what the best Math IIC book is. I have the Real SAT IIs book, and I reviewed for and took the IC in October. I didn't think I would do well in IIC since I thought I had forgotten everything I learned in Pre-Cal, but I took the IIC test tonight and got a higher score than I did on my IC test (pre-review). Now I'm thinking with a little review, I could score way higher in IIC in December.</p>

<p>for II/C, I would recommend Barrons. It's really hard so it prepares you well for the actual test. I consistently got 650s on the Barrons and got a 800 on the actual thing.</p>
