Which one is better Chemical or Petroleum Engineering?

I want to be in the Oil field for sure but im not sure what path to take. One side is to get a Chemical Engineering degree and call it a day another side is to get a Petroleum Engineering degree and call it a day and also to get a Chemical Engineering with a Petroleum Engineering mastering degree. Im just confused on which is more beneficial.

Petroleum Engineering… working offshore 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and traveling around the world. Chemical Engineering is more in align with 40 hours/week but in the refineries… it is a 24 hour operation - 7 days/week so there will be times you are working night shift and weekends to keep those plants operating. Chemical gives you more options between Petroleum refineries and chemical plants and even research later but you are always leading the plants . In Petroleum is always working for the geologist to locate and extract oil.

So what do you think about getting a BS in chemE and masters in petE??
