I already took the US history and didn't score very well on it, but then again I didn't study. I took both of the classes...freshman year I took World History and had a good teacher, Junior year I took US history and had a not-so-great teacher. Any suggestions on which to take or which is easier?

Take the World History SAT II. I don't know which is easier, I think it depends on the person.

Well the US history test has less material to cover, so the questions tend to be a bit more nit-picky than on the World history one. But then again, World history has more material to cover. Do what you're more comfortable with. I would do World history if I were you, because you had a better teacher in it so you probably learned more and retained more information, and it tends to be more interesting than US history (no offence to anyone :P).

US History=not a lot of material=detail
World History=lots of material=general

i guess it depends on your preference.. i find US history more easier because i happen to love US history.. and disliked/didn't care about world history.. and glucose is right about the material covered and depth

World History.
Hey Mochalatte, that's quite an arrogant thing to say: "I disliked/didn't care about world history..." What a provincial American comment!

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I heard that the World History curve is way more generous than the US History curve.

If you took an AP in one of them - take that one

Like Naidu said, it is wise to take SAT IIs for subjects that you've done APs in. I know people who did poorly on the SAT math portion, but took an AP calc class (don't remember if it was AB or BC) and found that their score increased drastically even though there is no calc on the SAT. APs help enforce concepts that you already know. Either way, good luck!
