I got some bad grades, and my undergraduate gpa is around 3.0. I was wondering if I can get a high score on Gmat, do I still have chance to get into a top business schools. Whether higher Gmat score can prove my ability on handling graduate school courses.
I feel so depressed. Thank you for all suggestions!

^ If you have a 760 or above on GMAT then you’re a good candidate. But you also have to couple that with a solid, relevant work experience.

yeah a high gmat score will definitely help you (750+)

what about the reverse? say you have a higher gpa at a pretty well respected university…let’s say a 3.7-3.8, what gmat score will you need (range) to get into a top b-school with those grades, and quality work experience??

660 at most top schools coupled with solid work experience.

@ lewtat - try to get as close to a 700 as you can, but RML is right, a 660 is pretty solid (given you have respectable work experience)
