I'm an uprising senior and confused about what is considered an academic honor and an EC.

I have participated in the Technovation Challenge where girls are empowered to build an app for the Android market, learn marketing/business techniques, and learn how to do computer programming. Afterwards, there is a Pitch night to deliver our pitch to potential marketers and the best one is chosen to be made for market (we didn't win though).

I have volunteered at the Chabot Space and Science Center as a Galaxy Explorer teaching science to all visitors since the summer before my 11th grade.

4th place in a Korean writing competition when I was in 9th grade

I have been been part of our school's Theater Ensemble's stage crew helping put three plays a year by building the set, painting it, etc ever since 9th grade.

I have volunteered at Chaparral House (a senior home) since 10th grade helping seniors exercise.

I have volunteered at our local library as a HW tutor since 10th grade

I have been part of the wind ensemble, Winds Across the Bay since 10th grade playing flute (playing 2nd part)

I have been a stage manager for the SF Theater Festival since my 9th grade (and I was the youngest of all of them)

I have participated in Model UN since my 10th grade year and was treasurer in my 11th grade year.

I have attended the Stanford Youth Leadership Conference last year, creating an idea about how to spread awareness about Hep B. My team won Grand Prize for the best idea and this idea was implemented by the Asian Liver Center.

This is probably my biggest involvement. I have been part of buildOn since 9th grade. Here, I have been a YAC officer since my 11th grade year, planning the largest regional events for the buildOn. I have also won the Presidential Service Award (gold) for 250+ hours of service. I have also through buildOn attended Trek for Knowledge, going to Haiti for two weeks to help build a school and live with a host family. Trek is a rigorous application process with only two high schoolers from each school getting to go with an 8 month+ commitment before the trip and the expectation to help spread the word through 8+ presentations to the community. Currently, I am a co-president of buildOn as well. Finally, my club and I are raising 30,000 dollars to be able to build a school in Nepal through campaigning, etc.

Thank you to all that respond!
