Hello msafy4,

If you are a NY resident, then Baruch probably will be a better choice in terms of money. Baruch is twice as much cheaper than Rutgers (5k vs 12k for residents), and if you are a resident, then you even may go there for free because of the TAP and Pell Grant that you might be able to get.

In terms of academics, Baruch has professors that came from all sorts of Ivy league schools, but it also has some professors who are not that familiar with English language lol. I’m not saying that they are bad, but a lot of them came from other countries, so English is not their first language. (so as mine)

There are some big classes that contain up to 300 people, but those are mostly for a certain general courses that many people have to take. Yet, most classes are small, for 20-30 people. If you really want to have small classes all the time, then you should apply for Macaulay Honors program at Baruch. It is a prestigious program, and it will beat Rutgers in anything, including internships, the size of classes, etc. By the way, from there you won’t have any problems with getting into a top schools that you have mentioned.

Personally, I wouldn’t say that it is tough to get good grades at Baruch, but there is one thing that you have to know: please do not take more than 15 credits per semester because it might hurt you, and your GPA. (from 12-15 will suffice)

In addition, most of the top companies recruit at Baruch, you just need to have a good GPA to get an internship, and then the offer.

I would recommend you to go to Baruch, if you live or planning to live in NY; otherwise, Rutgers is probably more well known in other states.
