Which one is better for undergrad in CS. After reading many reviews on internet, I admire Umass and Penn state both…but still gotta choose the better one…what is your opinion.
Which is cheaper?
CS is one of the top programs at UMass because Massachusetts has one of the top computer industry clusters in the country. AI is particularly strong and that is a hot area right now. The department is not that big by state university standards, which has some benefits.
With respect to this particular criteria, I would lean toward UMass.
@bodangles Umass is cheaper by 5K ( I am an international applicant)
@Mastadon I was leaning towards penn state but I’ll think again. Thanks.
Do you know what area of computer science you are interested in?
I like coding…making up new things for example apps. Artificial Intelligence…self driving prototypes of cars…this is the area I am interested in.
I don’t think either one would have the advantage in CS, but PSU is stronger in Engineering. I would actually recommend PSU.
For CS, I’d recommend UMass.
