which one?

Im still deciding on a major, but ive been leaning of getting a BA in Biological Sciences. I would want to have to biological foundation for the MCAT/Med School, but at the same time I would like to study the spanish language. How does this sound? Should I go with the BS?

there is very little practical difference between ba and bs in biology, from what i have heard. but if you want to do a spanish/bio major double major, your uni will probably require that they both be BA.

you can major in anything for pre-med(heh, this coming from a bio major pre-med), you just have to take the core classes required of applicants (same classes whose material is covered on the lovely mcat)

another draw back I think is whatd would i do with a biology/spanish ba if med school doesnt work out!

well, you should only major in bi-sci if you actually really like it, in which case you would probably pursue research (cough, further schooling.. its really sad that a 4-yr goes nowhere these days) or something... there are many possibilities

i am a french minor and i justify its practicality by reminding myself that i want to join medecins sans frontieres. i also study spanish and will continue a bit in university most likely bc where i grew up and where i'll be going to uni there are strong latino prescences and speaking spanish is an invaluable skill for a doctor these areas
