Which SAT I should take first the SAT 1 or SAT 2? ( I am a Senior never did the SAT)

Hello,

I am a senior and I never did the SAt I would like to know what is best for me!

To take the SAT I or SAT II first?

1st = october 2005
2nd = november 2005

The goodthing about taking the SAT II on november would be it would coincide with my IB Exams. but it would be to close also.

I also have another problem! I need to take 3 SAT II

I will take the following:

Math Level 2
Physics
World History

The SAT II is only offered in DECEMBER! Will I have enough time to take it? So the grade arrives and I can send the application?

Shouldnt I study for like Us history (never did it in my life) so I can take the 3 SAT II in the same day?

That would be good taking the 3 SAT II in november cause If I had problems with the I I could redo in december.

Please help.

SAT I is the one that colleges look at FIRST, my suggestion would be to do that ASAP, especially since you are a senior and your deadline for applications would be the end of December. SAT II from what I have understood is required only by some colleges.

Most of the colleges I am applying require the SAT II also so wouldnt it be better to do them first?

Are you an international student GoCollege?
I think that if you plan to take them both, take SAT II first, because you're taking IB program, therefore it would take not so long a time to prepare for SAT II.
Take SAT II first, then you have plenty of time ahead to deal with SAT I!

Yeah I am international!

The problem is that I need to take WORLD HISTORY and world history is only offered in December so I am planning to do the following:

SAT I = OCTOBER
SAT II = PHYSICS + MATH LEVEL 2 = NOVEMBER
SAT II = WORLD HISTORY = DECEMBER

Is this ok and realistic?

Your planned schedule looks good. Check with colleges you are applying to to see if they accept December test scores - most do.

My fear is if I have problems on the SAT I wont be able to retake it!

All do ,I suppose :D

Yeah the scores como out in december 15 and you still have 15 days to send the apps =)

I suggest studying really hard for the SAT, but if you mess up, try studying for and taking the ACT since you don't have another chance for the SAT. Or you could condense those 2 SAT II dates into one with a bit of effort to make room for another try at the SAT if necessary. I suggest you sign up for 3 SAT IIs in November. You will have your SATI October results back by then, and if you don't feel like you want another try at the SAT, only take 2 of the 3 SAT IIs in November. Then sign up for December SATII and take that. Good Luck!

Here's what I would do in your predicament:

~October- SAT I

~November- Math Level 2, Physics, and one other (preferably US History, Literature, or a foreign language)

~December- Depending on your scores here is your chance to make it up. If you decide your SAT I score is good enough, take World History and retake any bad SAT II scores.

Also think about the ACT!!!

nice info!

thanks a lot I will think I will try Us history or literature. I will take a practice test on both and see how I do.

Thanks
