Just out of curiousity, what made you hate Princeton?

Did not like Georgetown or Duke. I just felt that everyone there felt that they were so superior to students at public schools. I'm sure not all the students are snobs, but most that I met were. I visited UNC and Duke in one weekend and it was like night and day.

My daughter was totally turned off of Reed by her interviewer but the worst experience has been Scripps. She was stood up TWICE for phone interviews that she scheduled through the Admissions Office. After waiting 1.5 hours for the Admissions Officer to call her, she left a very polite voicemail, asking if she had written down the wrong time. My daughter subsequently received a very snippy voicemail response, suggesting that the Admissions folk were too busy to respond to unsolicited phone calls and that my daughter should think about SCHEDULING and interview! Scripps originally was her first choice -- glad we found out now how they treat people!

The UVA information session was horrible! It was held in the chapel and was very dark and it was so hard to hear. I couldn't make out a word the lady was saying, she didn't even use a microphone. I was expecting a lot better b/c when I visited other Universities like CMU and Cornell the info sessions were way more personal and professional. I really liked UVa though, it was just the info session, it sucked. Also I have no clue why you people don't like Cornell, maybe you are just jealous of how good it is, or you just don't like a colder climate, i don't know, but I really loved it. (Accepted ED to Engineering at Cornell :))

I'm not "just jealous of how good it is" and I surely don't mind colder climates; I just don't like the school; it depressed me.

Wow psquared! Obviously UVA doesn't do information sessions the same way all the time. When I went there, mine was held in the movie theater and the lady had a mike.

William and Mary campus, to me, was just plain depressing. Unlike other old universities, they don't seem to maintain their buildings' exterior appearances well. To add to it, W & M is literally in the middle of a swamp.

As for Virginia Tech, the campus is beautiful, but it is literally in the middle of nowhere and a long drive away from civilization.

Wabash College...they recruit you while repeating their slogan of "Being a gentlemen"...after you deny them, they send subliminal letters from companies of their alumni (they know you won't open their mail)...and their all male....didn't give a chance though...no skirt and came on too strong...

Whoa, how did that happen?!

OT: Nice mention for Dartmouth (the Big Green and Oxford listed as two of the world's most enduring institutions)
