Which school should I go to?

went to a cc my first two years and now I am trying to decide which is the best school to transfer to

I am majoring in Criminal justice and plan to go to law school

accepted at

Michigan State (not yet but they wont turn me down with my grades)
Michigan
Grand valley
Ohio State

the only school that doesn't offer CJ as a major is UM so I probably wont go there. what do you guys think?

You can major in anything and still go to law school. From the lawyers that have come to career day and what not, they stress doing what you want (as long as it is critical thinking/writing) and then going to law school.

Personally I would go to UM because it has the prestige factor which may help you get to a law school of your choice. What do you want in a school?

the problem with going to Michigan is that i have already taken classes concerning CJ at the cc, so I would lose those credits

other than that I want to go the best school possible, which is most likely UM. Also I am not looking for anything in particular

i want to reiterate what jespere said. if your ultimate goal is law school, UM will probably do the most to get you into the best law school because it is significantly more well-regarded than the other three. i wouldn't worry too much about losing the cc credits or about the fact that UM doesn't have a CJ major.

UMich is a much better option, and though Mich State is second, UMich is just so awesome.

Regardless, you CAN major in absolutely anything (as long as you've got a solid foundation in the humanities and social sciences) and go to law school.

thanks guys

What would be the second best choice in terms of a backup school?

I live in Michigan but money isnt a problem, would it be OSU or MSU?

One more vote for Mich; go there definitely. Since you are already accepted there, don't worry about backup.
