For my second year of college I went out of state (OSU)and my dad paid about 18,000 dollars for tuition+ apartment

Now my sister is going to college so I have to go back in state for school. I have been accepted into grand valley, Michigan State, and Michigan. Should be an easy decision but Michigan doesn't have a criminal justice program

So should I go to Michigan State where all my classes transfer over and I can still major in criminl justice or go to Michigan where I would lose about 30 credits and would be in school for an extra year?

I plan to go to law school so going to a school such as Michigan would be huge. I know little about MSU, so maybe I am underestimating them

I don't think going to Michigan is going to give you a huge advantage over MSU. Going to Michigan will look slightly better but law schools dont put a huge emphasis on where you graduate, instead, they tend to focus more on LSAT and GPA. If I were you, I'd go to MSU, do well there and make sure to study hard for the LSAT.

Mcdaking, are you saying you'd lose 30 credits because U-M doesn't have criminal justice? I'm confused... otherwise, I agree w/ crs1909 totally.

I agree with both, go to MSU. I will however strongly advise against GVSU, it is boring and you will not enjoy the same social life or happiness. MSU is a great school and a great choice, and the biggest thing is you dont have to be a friggen buckeyes fan!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes I am from Grand Rapids, MI) I've visited MSU and GVSU and I am not a big fan of Grand Valley.

Yeah I have taken some cj classes so michigan won't accept them. thanks guys for the help

Both MSU & GVSU are fine schools. If you liked OSU, MSU would probably be better (GVSU is smaller). Don't go to UM ... it's not worth losing the credits. I know several MSU grads who got law degrees. You can, too.
