Which school to choose?

Hello everybody,

I have to choose between Brown, UChicago, and Amherst. Which school would give me the best chance to place well in IB and by what margin?

Career placement aside, I prefer Brown, then Chicago, then Amherst. I plan on majoring in Economics/Stat at Chicago, and Applied-math/Econ at Brown.

Thanks for the advice in advance!

UChicago’s economics program is supposedly one of the best in the world (heavily theoretical, I’ve heard). So the recruiting there is very strong; however, Brown’s OCR is undoubtedly strong, as it is an Ivy League school. If you prefer Brown, you should go there. Your career prospects won’t be that different from UChicago or Brown.

I would go to Brown

I go to Brown, so let me know if you have questions about recruiting/the Econ program.

Personally, I’d go Amherst then Brown, but both good. Dunno if it’s always true, but liberal arts schools have very tight-knit networks
