Which school would be better as pre-med: Rutgers or U Michigan?

<p>Michigan for me has only two problems: distance and money. I'm in NJ so rutgers is costing about 12K for me vs 43K for U Michigan.</p>

<p>I still have a chance to choose because I got off waitlist for Michigan.</p>

<p>If I want to apply to medical school through the same major (biomedical engineering), would it be worth it for me to go the extra mile(s) and go to U michigan?</p>

<p>Someone please reply I desperately need outside opinions as I only have a few days to decide.</p>

<p>Go to Rutgers, unless your parents are footing the bill for UMich and you think you'd be happier there.</p>

<p>The only real benefit of going to umich is the BME program is so much better than rutgers.</p>
