Which schools hands out good chunk of money for the BS/MD programs?

Economy is really hard. I can not offord to pay more than 20K per year for Undergrad and expect to spend like 30K per year in Med school.

Does any of te BS/MD programs pay full ride for the entire medical school? Thanks

Nope, don’t expect to get any scholarships for medical school. If someone does get a scholarship for medical school, expect them to have applied the traditional way and have amazing numbers.

I have yet to hear about getting scholarships from medical school but you might pay less if you go to an instate school. There are some programs that offer generous scolarships for undergrad though like SBU/GW.

Undergrad Scholarships are coming from UG college that is part of the program. Some Med. Schools have few scholarships for eligible applicants (in or out of combined programs).

I guess, I am staying in-state and some cheap out of state then. Here I come UM, USF and UAB

Just forget about getting merit aid for Medical School. Any merit aid for med school will mostly be small amounts. No such thing as full rides for med school unless you commit to Military Service or a MD/PHD program. The best way to save money on med school is to go to your state school. Some states like Texas have very inexpensive med schools and it may be worth moving and establishing residency there.

Some BS/MD programs will give you merit aid for the undergrad portion, while other BS/MD programs actually disqualify you from any merit aid because you are in the program.

ROTC does provide merit scholarships for med school & undergrad, but that requires you to commit to them for xxxx years. I know several excellent docs who graduated debt-free in that manner.

Wayne State MedStart is totally free for undergrad.
University of Cincinnati gives full in-state tuition and room for National Merit Finalists.
If you are good enough to go to a BS/MD program, than the “lower tier” colleges will probably give you substantial merit scholarships for undergrad. I know people going to BS/MD programs getting full merit scholarships from VCU, USC.

pitt gives full tuition for undergrad. 1 out of the 4 accepted in baylor/baylor program gets 10,000/year college through med school. (college is ~30,000/year, but med school is cheap - 15,000/year)

case gives the trustee scholarship - $27,500/year for four years

What are the cheap medico schools under BS/MD program for out-of state? I know Baylor is one. Let’s rank them by cost. Thanks

If you are in Rice/Baylor, buy a condo as an undergrad (a homestead) and become a citizen of the Republic of Texas. All Texas medical schools are incredible bargains for in-state.
