Which Schools Will I Get Into?

Ok so I'm going to list some stats and personal information and if you guys could give me an outside perspective on what schools seem realistic I would really appreciate it. I hate the waiting until march 31st/april 1st.

I live in Connecticut
SATs: Writing: 730; Math: 700; Critical Reading: 660
SAT IIs: Math 2: 720; Literature; 680
GPA: Fresh and sophomore year went to public school, ~ 3.3 unweighted
Junior Year at private school ~3.8
Senior Year at private school ~ 4.3 (weighted)
Caucasian
Activities: Varsity Volleyball and softball all four years
Church youth group for two years
Electronic Arts internship in San Francisco, worked on a Sims game and the game "Rock Band"
Travel softball since I was 9, got fifth in the nation one year and fifteenth another

Dad: Ivy undergrad, top-ranked U for grad
Mom: some college, didn't finish though

I have somewhat of an excuse for earlier not so hot grades...
When I was younger, I skipped a grade because was ahead of class. I actually did half a junior year at my public school, but halfway through I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and had to have open brain surgery and was taken out of school for the rest of the year. Thankfully, I was a year younger than everyone, so transferring to a different school and redoing my junior year did not present any age related problems. Essay talks about this.

I wrote in some of my essays that the reason I don't have tons of extracurriculars is because I had constant health issues pre and post-diagnosis, and also sports dominated the majority of my time.

I can't think of any other information that might help you guys assess me, but please feel free to ask.

The schools I'm applying to are:

Notre Dame, UPenn, Bowdoin, Colgate, Union in NY, University of Delaware, Lehigh, Bucknell, Villanova, and Colby.

I love all these schools and am sure I could make a great experience out of each of them, so I would love to hear any feedback.
Thanks for reading this ridiculously long post!

You didn't apply to Yale?? I would have totally applied to Yale if I were you.
I think you are set for Notre Dame, LeHigh and University of Delaware.
UPenn is a reach, although you still have an alright shot at it.
I don't know about the other colleges.

hahah I jokingly refer to Yale as my "safety school"

I didn't apply because it's too close to home. And I would only be going for the brand name and "ivy league status", I'm not crazy passionate about it like some people. Almost everyone who applies to Yale is capable of going, but there's so few spots, and I feel like I would be taking away someone's spot who is dying to go there.

Thanks for your opinion! My UPenn interview went awful so that won't help. Dad is acquainted with their dean though. Dean of undergrad admission from UDel wrote me urging me to apply to honor programs, so that's a good sign I figure.

Notre Dame.... gee I sure hope so.

anyone else?

Notre Dame, UPenn, Bowdoin, Colgate, Union in NY, University of Delaware, Lehigh, Bucknell, Villanova, and Colby.

Notre Dame- Very good shot.
Penn- I'd say it depends on the school. No shot in hell at Warton. A reach for any of the other schools, but its possible.
Delaware- In

I don't really know any of your other schools. I still can't believe you didn't apply to Yale lol. In a way I hate you ;).

For UPenn - The School of Arts & Sciences

And maybe I could learn to spell Wharton.

lol no worries. Thanks for your opinions! nd and penn are definitely the two toughest on my list... I hate the waiting more than anything

Lol. I wish my dad was dean of admissions at Yale :P

But you have a shot at SAS. Slim. But definitely worth the shot.

Notre Dame- very good shot
UPenn- low-mid reach? depends on how friendly your father is, I guess...
Bowdoin- high match
Colgate- mid-high match
Union in NY- match
Colby- match
University of Delaware, Lehigh, Bucknell, Villanova (don't really know these)

I think you've got some compelling essay material (although obviously this is a cynical way to look at your health issues), and some pretty good ECs for the schools on your list.

massive massive respect for your yale decision, by the way. don't think many people in your position would do what you did

Thanks Sectum for your post. Does high match mean my stats are pretty typical for that school?

Thanks for the Yale part too, it was a tough decision (especially since the Yale athletic director was actively trying to recruit me :P)

You have a good shot at all the schools you're applying to.

I think it would have put my dad in an awkward position if I had applied to Yale and he was in charge of admission. xD But I think you have a decent shot of getting into all the schools you applied to.

Thanks chicago. I hate this wait.

Exactly Nickel, another thing I'm avoiding

wow I'd so go to Yale. But I think it's really admirable not to apply there so you won't take someone who really wants it's spot - that's wicked cool of you. I skipped a grade too! Yay lol sorry I get really excited when I see other people who have because I'm the only one in my school system. I applied to Bowdoin and Colby too

^ cool premed. Thanks for the nice compliment. Skipping a grade was a little tough, especially first junior year when everyone was getting their license before me!
