good luck!

Assuming you want to continue with your piano studies, I would recommend you look at schools in areas where you would have access to a topnotch teacher. Harvard in Boston and Columbia in NY fit that criteria as do the other schools you mentioned.

I have pretty comparable stats to you (I'm a senior). I go to chicago burbs public HS, I've been playing piano forever, and I'm really good at science and math. I'm assuming you don't want to major in piano performance, considering you're looking at Ivies. When I was looking at colleges, I really didn't like Harvard or MIT because they don't have any kind of applied music program. They'll try to set you up with a private teacher, but lessons aren't on campus. If you're alright with that look into them anyway. I reccommend Brown and Princeton out of the Ivies. Princeton has a music performance certificate program, which is basically a minor. I got into Princeton ED so I'm doing that because I want to continue piano, but I too good at other things to study only music. I visited the Brown music department, and the lady in charge of the keyboard department was very friendly and helpful and showed me that Brown would be a great place to keep up my love of piano. When you're visiting colleges, make sure to set up appointments to talk with somebody in the music department. This way you can get a feel for what it's really like. Other schools I reccommend are Duke, Stanford, University of Southern California (pretty much a safety for you), maybe UIUC (extreme safety for you. I know, I too would hate going to U of I like everyone else in illinois public high schools.), and UC Berkeley. What school do you go to?

if you want city life...check out Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Georgetown, and Chicago
