Hi. I took the SAT's three times. Those are my scores:

January 2013: CR 570 M 690 W 640 (1900)

June 2013: CR 580 M 700 W 670 (1950)

November 2013: CR 580 M 710 W 670 (1960)

I just couldn't find a way to improve my critical reading. I'm an international student and that, I guess, it's the reason for that. Today I have to send my scores to schools I've already applied with early action. Which ones should I actually send (those schools allow me to use score choice)? Even though I got the same score on the writing section on both dates (8 for the essay twice) I believe that june's essay was better in overall - I used better examples. I know that schools can look on my SAT essay. Should I just send my November score and don't bother about it?

Colleges aren’t going to actually look up your SAT essay and read it. Also, the SAT essay isn’t a good indicator of writing ability anyway. Send your November scores.

As long as you’re not applying to a school that requires you to send all scores (Collegeboard will tell you this when you select which scores you want to send), I’d say just go ahead and send the November ones because it’s the highest. Schools don’t see your test at all. They just see your scores. Plus, majority of schools don’t even really care about the writing. They’re pretty much just looking at your CR and Math combined on a 1600 scale and a 1290 is pretty good.

If you’re really nervous about it, it might be a good idea to visit the website of the school you’re applying to and find the average SAT score or the 2013 Freshman Profile. It will usually be somewhere in the admissions area or FAQ section.
