which section is easiest to improve

your thoughts?

Math. Maybe the grammar part of Writing.

Math is the easiest.

Math, because once you are familiar with the types of questions, it's really easy.

Definitely math, and then perhaps grammar

math, unless you're already 800 there.
then work on writing (paragraph improvement, grammar, etc)
then finally reading (speed reading, master vocab)

Math, Writing, Reading in that order.

Whatever you're weakest in. It's a lot easier to go from 500 to 600 than from 770 to 800.

The way I look at it, it seems as if math is the easiest to improve in. If you learn the concepts required to answer the questions, you shouldn't have trouble doing well on the math portion, whereas with the CR you may be tricked by a paragraph's syntax or something.

Don't listen to me, though; I have a 1690.

writing. math is difficult because 1 mistake and you are down to like 760 already

I hope to god it's math. That's my weakest area.
Everyone says critical reading is hard to improve, but I went from a 670 to a 720 with no studying. It depends on what passages you get in my opinion.

why the heck is everyone saying math!?!?!
Writing is SOOO much easier to improve. It is just learning the SAT grammar traps you need to look for. Of all my scores my writing went up by far the highest. like 150 points where as my math only went up 70

and as 3365 said...math is hard because anything short of perfection doesnt really cut it. -2 and 1 omit can be <700

Actually, CR was my biggest improvement on the 2nd test (there was no formal preparation for anything):

1st test: CR 640, Math 670, Writing 590

2nd test CR 760, Math 690, Writing 650

As you can see, math was actually the least improved. I should probbaly mention that I took AP english lang. between the two tests though.

The one you scored the lowest on. More room for improvement -> easier to improve.

Honestly, writing is easiest for most people to improve. It's just knowing the SAT grammar, and watching out for those traps.

I think math is the easiest because once you learn all the concepts, the questions become familiar and it seems like you've seen most of them before.
Also, the math section only covers geometry and algebra, so there's no really hard stuff in it, like calculus.
