I am currently attending CC and i have already submitted my application and have been approved for TAG to UCD for fall 2013. I am wondering will my spring semester grades, the last semester at cc before they announce decisions still affect my chances?

I believe as long as you have no D’s or F’s fir UCD you should be fine.

You should have received an email from UCD detailing your contract. Anyway, they do not use spring grades to determine admissions.

Your spring grades can’t affect their acceptance decision that will come about sometime between March - June because they will not have seen them. What happens is that when you receive your acceptance letters you’ll also get a provisional contract that will tell you what GPA you have to maintain in order to be able to enroll. I think most of mine just said to stay above a 3.0 cumulative GPA and above a 2.0 GPA for that term. Sometimes, they’ll be more specific and might say you have to be above a specific GPA or get a specific grade in a course.

For TAG at UCD just make sure you have a 3.20 GPA minimum for all majors other than engineering majors (3.30), and that you get no D’s or F’s. So yes your spring semester grades technically still count.
