Which state do u want to live in when u grow up?

I want to live in North Carolina - going to Duke for undergrad, want to go to Duke medical school, and become a research physician at Duke medical center. :)

New York (specically, NYC). Any New England state, I suppose, but I fear that my kids would develop a Yankee accent. California would be okay, but I lived there for so long already.

Most likely, I won't even live in the USA. England is where my heart is home. Ireland is rather nice, too. Actually, I prefer just about any major city in Europe over a US state.

I live in NY, suburbs on Long Island. Maybe ill live here, but it costs so much. So then, maybe ill live elsewhere on the east coast, but around a big city.

lee, you may retract that once you have lived in NC for four years, i'm so happy to be going to Charlottesville! NC is BORING, trust me.

lol thats what my dad was telling me

Currently live in California, would like to live in Oregon or maybe Washington. Or somewhere in Europe, in a small castle. No kidding. You can get castles for what it costs to buy a flat in a big city here, so why not live the romantic life?

I want to research in UCB or Stanford or do something at Columbia while living in the suburbs in jersey or new york.
Too bad my children will suffer

california or pennsylvania

Charleston, SC is beautiful, but I'd go crazy living there for any length of time. I think I'd like Boston, actually.

Call me a rebel, but I would rather travel around with my family before I settle down to live.

Houston, Phoenix, San Jose, or Seattle. You know the states. I'm in AZ now and I love it.

New England or NC or SC or VA or travel around or London!

colorado, or at least somewhere with mountains

Private_Joker: Going into the foreign service?

Because of my parents' work, I've never lived for more than four years in the same place. I lived in Moscow when the Soviet Union collapsed, and moved to DC in late August 2001. It's an emotionally taxing, but ultimately very worthwhile experience. I can't imagine growing up in one place.

Would I do the same in my own career? Probably not. I'd love to go back to Europe for a couple of years when my kids are growing up, but I think I'll need to settle down for my own sanity's sake. A bit of continuity couldn't hurt.

somewhere nice and peaceful in California, away from the urbanized areas.

Anywhere but Kentucky.

I live in Minnesota and I plan on coming back after college. You should come here, its a paradise.

I think the only place worth living in this god forsaken country besides my home state of california would be hawaii or how ever its spelled. buh,.

Good luck if you intend to be bored to death. I am seeking out the desert area.

California, Washington, or Connecticut

What's a Yankee accent? Is that a New York / New Jersey accent?
