I'm confused of the difference between Soc Sci 10A-B-C and Stats 7. Why is one three quarters while the other is only one?

Would it be wiser to take the three-quarter one to boost GPA?

Depends on your major.

Check the course catalog. I might very well be wrong.

I believe MOST social science majors need 3 quarters of mathematics.
The two most common options are (Math 2A-B and Math 7) OR (SS 10 A-B-C)

The former will allow you to do a lot more mathematics in the future. This is useful for engineering/computer science/data analysis type things.
The later will prepare you for… actually I don’t think it’ll prepare you for anything in life.

Go with what will give you the best GPA for your desired path.
