Which Subject Tests to Take?

So, I’m a senior and I just changed my mind about taking subject tests, considering that I really like Cornell and MIT. Since I’d be applying Engineering/Comp. Sci., I’m probably going to be taking Math II and Biology E for sure. However, I don’t know what to take (and if I should take one) for my third subject test. I was thinking Math I, English, or maybeee US History or Spanish. The latter two would definitely require more preparation for me, but I don’t know what would be best considering my overall profile.

For reference, I’ll post some of my other test scores and classes and stuff:
Schools I’ll be sending to: Cornell, MIT, Berkely(?), Stanford(?), Brown(?), ???
SAT- 1990/2060 (700 R, 660 M, 630 W, 7 Essay/ 680 R, 690 M, 690 W, 7 Essay)
ACT- 33(35 R, 34 W, 33 S, 28 M, 8 Essay)
APs- 4s on Bio, English Lang, Spanish Lang, Environmental, Human Geo, World. 5s on US and Calc AB
Currently taking AP Calc BC, AP CS, AP English Lit, AP Physics C, AP Gov, ASL, and an art class.
GPA- 3.98 W (should be like a 4.3 after this term)
I have a few writing awards, Mu Alpha Theta (2 years), and Math Field Day (1 year)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Sorry it was so wordy.

You need some safeties and matches! All of your schools are reaches. Send your ACT scores, not your SATs. Take US History or English Lit as your 3rd subject test. You did well on the USH AP test, and the English Lit subject test is easy, according to my kids. If you’re taking Math II, there’s no point in taking Math I.

But definitely find some other schools you like that aren’t so reachy.

Oh yeah, I have some safeties that I like (already accepted into one, expecting a full ride there and another school), so that’s not a problem. Thanks for the advice, I think I’d rather take English since I don’t know US very well at this point. And I believe that some of these schools (eg Stanford) require you to send all test scores anyways.
Thanks again!!

What AP classes are you taking this year? Since the Subject tests and AP exams are written by the same company on the same subject matter it is relatively easy to prepare for the Subject tests in the same year you take the AP exam. For instance my son will take APUSH and AP Chem this May and also the Subject tests in those area. It make test preparation easier. There is very little extra preparation.

@Proudpatriot I made the mistake of taking the SAT too late (June), unfortunately. Last year I took multiple subjects that were also offered for SAT 2… This year I’m taking Calc BC, Lit, Comp Sci, Physics C, and Gov. I can only take it next month, so I honestly think Math 2 (since it has calc) would be easiest. I took bio last year and I’m alright in English, so im leaning towards though. The problem is that our english teach is ancient and doesn’t prepare us too too well lol.

Take Math 2 if you are planning on a comp sci/engineering major.

@KaffeineKitty Thanks, I was planning on doing so
