Which tests should College Board offer?

AP Ninja?

Anatomy
Law

Only two I would really want to see

AP Astronomy
AP Calculus: Multivariable
AP German Language
AP German Literature

AP US Conspiracies?

[^But there’s already an AP German Language exam…](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>AP German Language and Culture Course – AP Central | College Board)

I like Multivariable Calculus and Astronomy. Some of my favorite subjects.

What about an AP Religion? That would make sense. It could go over Christianity, Islam, Judaism and other religions like that.

AP Geometry and my heart would explode in joy!

there aren’t enough high school students qualified to take multivariable calculus to make it profitable

AP Arabic Language and Culture, for sure. If they have AP Chinese, AP Arabic is definitely doable. It can replace AP Italian, which I’ve heard doesn’t exist anymore.

Americans wont take AP Arabic, aren’t you forgetting about a couple of wars that are going on?

AP Carpentry and AP Plumbing.

Exactly. Arabic is in demand now more than ever, because of the wars and other conflicts in the MidEast. The US is trying to make an effort to reach out and compromise with the Middle East, and it’s not going to happen with so few that speak the language and understand the culture. Also, Arabic is offered at most major colleges and universities, and more and more high schools are beginning to offer it, as well, because the demand for it so high. Not to mention the incredible amount of Arab immigrants in some communities–come to Southeastern Wisconsin or the Chicago area if you don’t believe me.

Also, it’d be nice to get AP credit as a native speaker. ;)

^ AP African History… lol

possible question:

What shade of black is Kevin Garnett?

Personally i think AP Linear Algebra

All those math courses are improbable. Sure, I will be taking Multivariable Calc and Linear Algebra next year as a high school senior, but I’m one of the few. I definitely don’t think College Board will profit much from these high level courses. If students really wanna get credit, just take the courses at a college.

However, I really like ideas of AP Arabic Language and Culture. It’s one of the most popular languages in the world and it’s definitely in high demand here in America. I’m Chinese taking Spanish right now. If Arabic was offered, I think I would’ve taken that (Most people in the Spanish speaking world can understand some english).

AP Religion is also awesome. I also wish they offered something like AP Sociology/Philosophies. I would take that for sure! I mean if AP Psych is offered, why not offer AP Soc/Philosophies.

Yeah, definitely. These classes are just too common for engineers to take nowadays.

@Azn: I disagree… most of my friends from middle school ended up at a gigantic public high school in my neighborhood, which is totally AP-centered. While its not exactly the ‘standard’, a lot of kids made it to Calc by their junior year. Those that chose BC for their junior year are thus kind of at a dead end for math; In fact, I know one who just gave up on Math (even though he technically could have done stats for his senior year).

If that many kids just in my circle of friends have taken single variable calc by the beginning of their junior year, I’d wager that CB could get at least 10,000 people to take Multivariable.

AP Linear Algebra is the only viable one because you can take it without knowing calculus. In an ideal world, Linear Algebra would be learned before Calculus.

Agreed. Although I’ve only completed two years of Latin and will most likely not be taking the AP Latin test, as a future Classics major I have recognized the relevance that Latin has today and I feel that having an AP test for Latin is completely reasonable. Sure, maybe more students would be interested in taking an AP philosophy/business course (and I do agree that they would probably make very excellent AP courses), but that doesn’t make the AP Latin test any less important.

There are AP Chinese Language & Literature and AP Japanese Language & Literature…so where’s AP Korean Language & Literature? :|

AP Organic Chemistry would be nice as well … my school doesn’t have AP Chemistry (we have A-levels), but from what I’ve heard of AP Chemistry, the organic section is a joke.

AP Anatomy & Physiology would be nice :)
