which textbook is better for ap euro history self study

hi guys.
i am going to self study euro history!
i discovered that Mckay’s a history of western society is highly recommended by many people. i also know a person got a 5 reading Europe, a history by Norman Davies and he recommended the book to me.

Does anyone learn about these two textbooks and suggest a better one for me??both of them are quite long so i just want to choose one out of these two. thank you.

I didn’t self study but my school’s textbook was McKay and I ended up getting a 5. The McKay textbook is bearable enough to read. Crash Course REA’a AP Euro book also helped me and Princeton review. Make sure you know how to do all the essays/short answer and are familiar with the new multiple choice questions since you are not taking a class. Good luck!
