I am looking to be an econ major and I was just wondering which UC is best for econ? Besides Berkeley beacuse it's impossible for me to get into.

UCLA and UCSD both have great Econ departments. UC-Irvine is also well regarded.

Although it may not be relevant for undergrad, Davis has a very strong econ faculty -- much higher ranked than Irvine by any measure. Santa Barbara's is pretty good also.

all of their econ programs are actually top notch in terms of faculty, courses are nearly identical in reference to UCD, UCI, UCSB, UCR and UCSC. UCR has actually gotten a few professors from Columbia and U Penn recently (this may be for biz not econ however) Never looked at UCLA and UCB. Graduate rankings put UCB first, followed by UCSD which was ranked 10th last year and UCLA at 11 or 12 (or somewhere around there).

UCB, UCLA and UCSD.

University of Chicago

and that became a UC when?

UC Berkeley, UCSD, UCLA.

lol at u chicago
