Does anyone know which UC schools offer the best undergraduate business programs? If an undergraduate business major isn't chosen, what is the best major to take before MBA? Thanks in advance!

I am interested in management, not accounting.

AFAIK, only two UCs even offer an undergraduate major in business. See above.

Rumors have been floating around that UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business is planning to launch an undergraduate business major, but it's not on their Website now. UCI already has undergraduate minor programs in management and accounting.

Any major is fine before an MBA. You want to earn a bachelor's degree in something you find fulfilling, work for two years, and then start your MBA. Resist the temptation to think that an Economics degree is "MBA lite." It isn't. Academic economics and business have almost nothing to do with one another -- but feel free to take introduction to macro and introduction to micro. It won't really help you much since your B-School will make you take them again anyway, but you might feel better.

If I were 17 and looking at a future in business, I'd study mathematics, biomedical engineering, or Chinese as an undergrad.

Thanks, you've both been very helpful with your suggestions.
I want to get into entertainment/ music management/marketing eventually. There is no way that I could get into UCB, but Riverside is a consideration.
Or, maybe I'll stick with USC (if I get in) or UOP. Shelling out the big bucks now and interning sooner might streamline things a bit for me.
Again, Thanks for your help!
