Berkeley - College of Natural Resources - molecular toxicology
LA - biochemistry
SD - molecular biology muir college
uci - biomed engineering

i visited ucsd today and took a campus tour and loved it! i went to la yesterday and loved la until today :)
i live in irvine so i don't want to go to irvine
berkeley's good but too competitive (i'm going to the april 12 open house)
i'm planning on pre-med and ucsd's premed is supposed to be one of the beset in the nation

so....i guess i just answered my own question :)
should i go to ucsd?

correct me if i'm wrong but i've heard somewhere that ucla actually has a higher acceptance rate of students into medical school than ucsd. but that shouldn't be your determining factor so much as which environment you like more seeing as how you'll be there for the next four years. plus if you really want to get into medical school, neither one's exactly going to hurt your chances. so between la and sd just choose based on best fit :)

Berkeley - College of Natural Resources - molecular toxicology
that was me too! =)
and then i ended up going to ucsd and being happier here...
so... i dont know
i would say go with the college environment you like better...
you never know... you might change your mind about your major and then you might be stuck at some school thats good for something like premed but not for the major youve changed to
..plus youre premed......there are SOOOOO many premeds in freshman year but year after year people will change their minds bc they dont stand a chance or they find out they dont like it at all...

so i say.... which ever environment you like best because if you really really want to do premed then you would manage in whichever school you were at

to the poster - i am also trying to figure out if i should go to ucsd as a premed, any helpful articles or info you can give me to prove to my parents that it IS an excellent place to go to for pre med?? thankyouu so much!
