Which UC's are toughest to get into as an English major?

Current GPA: 3.88
Working part time as English and Math tutor
Vice-President of Anthropology Club
Honors Student

can anyone tell me my chances of getting into one of these schools:
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
UCSB

bump, please respond :)

You're in to all of them... and you know it too. I don't like people who want to post their incredibly high GPA's and ask "whats my chances for these schools!!!" when they know that they will get in. Come on man you have a 3.9 GPA and you're applying to a non-impacted major. Put two and two together...

How can I find out what are the impacted majors of a college??

Just go to the college website... like for example UCLA English is "said" to be impacted, but if you actually take a look at the stats of applicants, pretty much if you have a 3.5 GPA you're in. It only is listed as impacted because of the large # of applicants. However they accept about 50% of them so it really isn't technically "impacted".

Ahh okay! Thanks!

the stats page is on the transfer students link, it will say "profile of admitted students" and they show you the stats of each year.

Oh gosh. 3.88 for English? You're fine.

Colin387 that wasn't my intention, but thanks for the help. I've always thought that English was impacted, especially in UCLA/Berkeley, but it seems that you guys are right.

It's a popular major, and it might be lightly impacted, but it's nowhere near comm/business econ, which almost REQUIRE a 3.8, minimum. I know lots and lots of people who got into both UCLA and Cal for English with around 3.6ish.

I sometimes wish i went for an English Major, but it's kinda too late for me since I will be applying this fall and there's no way I can fit in anymore classes. Or I'll go loco, lol. Well pellman you have a goodshot at all these schools I wouldn't be too worried if I was you =) You are applying as a CCC transfer student right?

yes i am (10 chars lol)
