Which universities should I apply to?

I am an incoming senior, and I know that I want to major in engineering after I graduate high school. I don't really want to apply to any schools that I basically have no chance in being accepted, but I do want to go to a decent engineering school. As of right now, I'm considering Cornell, and possibly UCBerkeley.

My current GPA is 3.93(unweighted), 4.11(weighted). I've only gotten two Bs in English, and the rest were As! SATs score:2000 (will retake). ACT Composite: 30, 34M, 33S, 26E, 25R (will retake). I'm currently president of my Key Club. I am a member in Math Club, Robotics, and UNICEF, and am very involved in my community. Currently a Supreme Court Justice of my school, and am working as a tutor at my school. I also play Varsity Tennis and Swimming. By the end of my senior year, I will have taken a total of eight AP classes.

Please help me, applications are due in a few months, and I want to get a head start before school starts. All reccomendations appreciated!

What state do you live in? Many state universities have good engineering schools while being relatively inexpensive for state residents.

Your first task is to find safety schools that you will be admitted to, you will be able to afford (unless community college is your safety), and which will meet your educational goals. Then go from there, considering only schools which you would choose over your safeties.

I live in California.

How about the University of Michigan and Purdue?
