Which US Univs require a SAT/ACT from all applicants for the 2024 application cycle?

Some colleges like Purdue require SAT scores. I am told that Florida Universities require this as well. Any other colleges?

Thanks. Looks like all Univs in Florida and Georgia require them. Which other colleges? Is there a definitive list that someone maintains?

I think this is a good idea for a thread at this time of year.

Could the title be changed to SAT/ACT scores? Not every student takes both tests. Some only take the ACT.

Done

The University of Tennessee requires them.

I further edited. Let’s keep the discussion centered on which universities require for all, and avoid posting the niche exceptions that apply to a microscopic minority.

I’ll further add that this thread is not to be a discussion on the merits of testing or test optional.

Only three of the 26 schools in the University System of Georgia require standardized tests for the upcoming admissions cycle - UGA, Georgia Tech and Georgia College. The rest are test optional.

Georgetown

All applicants are required to take the SAT or the ACT

Just clarifying Tennessee - will include Martin, Chattanooga, Southern, and Health Sciences.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (and all UT System campuses) require standardized tests (ACT/SAT) for first-year students applying for admission.

Additionally, I looked at schools not part - Memphis requires a test as does MTSU. ETSU does not (only for scholarships).

@CC_Jon / @CC_Sorin, can this thread be converted to a wiki post that members can edit and add names to? Then we could have all these schools in a single list.

@DadOfJerseyGirl, I made it a wiki now.

Great! Thank you.

I’ll add the schools listed thus far to the original post.

Wyoming’s website says

ACT/SAT test scores are still optional but can help you earn more financial assistance.

Scores are required for WUE awards, but it’s possible to get a Brown and Gold award without scores.
