did dark knight post the statistics for the dec 08 SAT?

The summer is just starting for me, and I am planning on cramming the following books to work on my reading and writing skills. Do you guys have any suggestions/ preference?

SAT vocabulary for dummies / by Suzee Vlk.
SAT writing workbook / by the staff of Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions.
Hot words for the SAT / Linda Carnevale.
Reading and writing workout for the SAT / by Geoff Martz.
Direct Hits volume 1 and volume 2

Thanks, very useful!

Since someone already dug up the thread, if you actually do some math, you can see that DH only had 12 hits. Which, of course, is extremely efficient for a crammer, but extremely deficient for someone who wants an 800. On recent SAT analyses, I think I’ve seen that Powerscore has had the most hits and been quite efficient (and it’s free online :D). On this one, I would actually say that Gruber’s actually had the most hits (almost every single word by the OP’s math), which is to be expected based on how many words are in the book.

It would be impossible for the hit rate on Gruber’s or Barron’s to be better than 150 words/hit if you’re only counting the 22 hardest words. That’s just some food for thought; it’s not like I consider the dictionary to be a strong prep-book.
