White House Internship

Putin:
LMAO
Thanks!
Now I can go to class with a sense of hope for humanity…and democracy!
Welcome back to everyone thats been GONE.I also apologize for capitalizing certain words.
Haha,be back in a few hours!

One last thing:
It’s D-Day!

Ok,now I’m done.
:)

Hey Everyone & My fantastic cabiner & Prez:

Leaving for the weekend, won’t be back online for 4 or so hours. See you all then and good luck everyone!

Bona Fortuna Omni!

Wish the best luck to everyone.

tick-tock…tickity-tock…

So close, yet so far away…
I guess, as Chief of Staff, message to all cabinet members and the Pres and VP:
Buene suerte, y gracias por todos has hecho/dicho en esta forum. Jaja.
(For our spanish speaking friends :-))
Good luck to everyone, and thanks for everything you have done/said in this forum. It truly has been a lot easier waiting for these decisions (a) knowing there were others struggling just as much, and (b) getting to talk with those others.

Maybe if some of us (I’m afraid to sound overly confident in using the first person, but don’t want to be pessimistic and use the third–please forgive for using ‘us’) who get the internship and go on into public office and become “big and important”, we’ll remember this forum as the moment before we stepped into the White House, haha.

(Assuming 5 o’clock is the magic time, more or less…)

T-MINUS 7 HOURS, 15 MINUTES

Watch them extend the deadline…

Putin, taking away my power because i threatened to overrule you on the facebook group name? tsk tsk, didn’t think you were one to get revenge by demoting me, gee thanks

what if i say that i can speak four languages, not including american sign language, and i can understand a handful of others (but can’t naturally speak them)

oh! and i want to go to law school so the whole attorney general thing works out! and i’m taking classes in government so i know how this thing works, haha

my dreams are being crushed!

i wish all of you the best of luck. although im not in this mock cabinet you guys have formed, i have enjoyed both the mindless and good stuff that has been posted here and im glad i found this forum because its good to know you are not alone in the wilderness that is the white house internship application process!

here’s to getting the internship and for the underclassmen on here, best of luck should you apply next time around!

nupenupeyooo,

you are probably right in that sentiment I certainly would not write it off! And on that note we probably wouldn’t even be notified of the extension! We will wait all day and then…nothing. oh well :)

has anyone joined the facebook group yet? The White House Administration of Internship Rejects & Acceptees LOL

Islandfairy27 & nupenupeyooo,

Don’t say that!! ahh i don’t want to believe it until i have to, even thouh i have a sneaking suspicion that they might extend it again. maybe the background checks are taking too long?

you see I assumed that they would only run the background checks once we’ve been selected. Doesn’t it save time?

I wonder how “clear” your background check would need to be?

probably crystal clear

I dunno. Would a misdemeanor theft when you were 18 make you a threat to a President??? (just saying)

i agree, probably crystal or close enough. i think theyh might have run background checks before, because it would be really bad if they accepted someone and then had to tell them no because of a blemish in the background check. but then again, i guess it would be better if they did it only one people who accepted first.

just tell me yes or no already!

I guess if there are other people who are just as qualified (grades, experience etc) they would take the people who have the clean record over the one who does not.

Yeah I figure that much too

nupenupeyooo,

i don’t know. i depends how afraid they are of interns stealing pens from the oval office, because i know we’re all dieing to get pres. obama’s favorite writing utensil.

just kidding! if it’s minor/petty and it was several years ago, then i doubt it would be a deal breaker. it just depends how we stack up against everyone else applying i think. but can’t promise anything
