this is soo surreal…watching realtime as people wait for their decisions…

Also Rejected

Are all of your last names near the beginning of the alphabet?

Sorry to those who already know… :(

looking at the rate of how the emails are going out…it seems there were 10k applicants, lol, we’ll see

presjam03: keep us tuned, you had the phone call, so please let us know! :)

I don’t want to open mine yet even though I think it’ll be a rejection. Did anyone get it, if so what did the email say?

There is an earlier post with the email details.

My last name starts with M.

See everyone on Facebook

I was rejected as well. I’m not too sad about it; let’s face it, the odds weren’t in our favor. Over 4,000 applicants for what is likely 100 slots. I encourage my fellow rejectees to keep their heads high, and not view this as an end but rather a new challenge. This is in no way indicitive of our ability to lead and participate in the development of public policies and programs. If we demonstrate those skills and abilities in our daily lives, we may yet get a chance to get to the White House. But not as interns or unpaid employees, but as Special Assistants to the President and Directors of bureaus and policy.

Let’s be outstanding. Just like we were here. Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet!

Havent got the email yet…and my last name starts with M…hmmm

Please, if you got rejected or accepted, still join the facebook group and message me your username as to who you are, etc

no email for me yet… last name S

Maybe it’s with first names? Highly unlikely though I guess because last names make more sense.

i havent gotten anythingyet…

immgunna go get lunch…and calm down…

Rejected… name is at beginning of alphabet

I guess there are probably two batches - the first and second parts of the alphabet. Since my name begins with W and people with S and M haven’t gotten theirs yet. I guess the interview was significant after all

“We regret to inform you…” Last name starts with P.

God are they even gonna accept anyone today or did they already contact everyone they accepted! Maybe ucla2009 was right about her WH-INTERN-FINALIST email

Wow that would be screwed up.

guys don’t feel bad. getting rejected from this isn’t necessarily a reflection of what you have earned or deserve.

I took a year off school and was a paid staffer for OFA during the general election, working in states like Georgia and Florida. Made great friends and met influential people, and i still got rejected. :/

I also applied first choice to the Advance Team- which i have already worked with in the past 3 months, and still didn’t get selected.

The odds were ridiculous i guess, and we are a part of the majority in this case unfortunately.

Oh well, life goes on! :-)

I do kinda wish I had taken the chance to apply at the end of the Bush administration. I’m not an overly partisan person, and I mostly wanted to go for the opportunity and experience to see how policy gets shaped. Obviously there’s no guarantees in life, though, just because the odds were a little better.

i’m still hanging in here waiting. my computer ran out of battery while trying to check my email so i practically ran to the library to check my email.

nada…still waiting.

Stetly,

Did you ever get interviewed or were your references contacted? My first choice was Scheduling and Advance as well…
