You guys are the absolute greatest. This thread has been a great comfort over the past two weeks or so through all the crazy waiting. I wish you all the best and I will miss the youtube vid sharing! haha

There were some earlier posts about how to find a (decently priced) place to stay, right?

Has anyone been notified of their “status” with the internship? They originally said they would notify us by the 20th and I called this morning and now they said the 24th. This is the 25th already… If I haven’t been notified by now is all hope pretty much lost? I know the internship starts on May 22. I live in CA and you’d think they would give you at least a month to prepare. Will someone please let me know!

I haven’t heard back either and I received the confirmation emails I spent roughly 2 hrs trying to reach a real person but no success. I have lost almost all hope and looking for other jobs for the summer but hopefully I hear something soon. I thought I was the only one that didn’t hear anything yet.

I did get accepted into the program and the White House called me today. It looks like they are starting the security background checks. I asked if there was a phone # I could call in case I had more questions and she said I can just call the # listed on the application or email them directly. It seems like they have completed the process but you could try that and see what happens.
