Who applied early action to villanova?

deferred :/

wannabanurse: Don’t give up hope , I bet you are in for RD in March. Did you get notification on MyNova?

Deferred. It’s fine, I’m already in ED to my number one. Good luck everyone!!

Got in to VSB!!!

people that have gotten their decision: , did the financial aid email have any impact on your decision or was it just sent to everyone?

Deferred. Business. Villanova is my top choice. Goodbye Presidential scholarship opportunity.

I received an email about the financial aid process at around midnight as well. Does this mean anything ???

Into arts and sciences. Undecided…but leaning towards business. Can I switch during reg decision or do I just wait until second semester? Assuming I go.

Good job everyone, and to those who got deferred, you’ll be alright during RD :)

Just went online to see and I was accepted into the business school. I am so excited!!! After being deferred at Notre Dame this feels so good.

Congratulations accepted ones. You should be very proud. Villanova is a fine institution of higher learning. Wish you the best!

I was Deferred from Villanova school of business.

It is VERY hard to switch into the Business school. The acceptance rate for Villanova is between 40-45% and when I asked a rep what it was for the Business school said
“oh it is significantly lower, I would say about 25%” and when I said I was interested in Business andf Engineering and which one I should apply to if I might switch he said:

“I would strongly advise you to apply into the Business school and then switch into the engineering school. Yes, you will probably fall behin a bit, but at least it’s doable. The Business school is very competitive and there are very few spots open to switch into. It’s just that no one is leaving the Business school once they are in there.”

Into VBS! Nice

this being said, if you love Villanova and don’t know what excatly you want to do, I strongly advise you go to the college of arts and sciences and then maybe major in Business. It is significantly harder to get into the business school, think a lesser version of Wharton, and it is not worth it to have half the chance of getting in if you’re not set on it.

what is the presidential scholarship?

My daughter was accepted into School of Engineering.

Your school can nominate some one for it, its based on minority status combined with exceeding social and academic merits. I was nominated but can’t find my submission link again

ScottyG: It is open to all , not just minority applicants.

prepurm1216 : regarding “I strongly advise you go to the college of arts and sciences and then maybe major in Business.”

The only way to major in business is to enroll in VSB . You cannot major in Business from A&S , Engineering or Nursing.

You can minor in Business from any school by enroling in the VSB summer Institute:

[Summer Business Institute](<a href=“VILLANOVA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS | Villanova University”>VILLANOVA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS | Villanova University)

or: Business Minor Programs

If you are enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, or the College of Nursing, you may apply to earn a business minor through the Villanova School of Business (VSB). A business minor may be obtained by the successful completion of either the Summer Business Institute (SBI) program or the General Business Minor program.

[Internal Transfer](<a href=“VILLANOVA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS | Villanova University”>VILLANOVA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS | Villanova University)

As for transfering it is difficult , but not impossible; there have been more transfers into VSB the last few years.

I think I can just minor. Frankly, its undergrad. I can do transfer if I want I suppose, but it depends on if I a) go for sure and b) how much I like blow S’s. I like psychology a lot but it has a very low career income level and stuff, so I figured I could combine it with business and do marketing or something.

As for the presidential. I know it is open to anyone, I didn’t mean to make it say only. So sorry about my mistake!
