I applied to Cornell and got the fantastic news today that I was accepted to the College of Arts and Sciences. I am estatic!! The people from this board who applied have phenomenal testing scores. I got a 1750 on the sat, and feel honored and blessed to have been accepted amongst people who are extremely intelligent!!

to let it be known,

im number 1 in my class, have a 91.04 gpa, sat math 540, writing 640 and critical reading 570..so once again, i feel blessed and you can add me to that statistics profile list!

I applied EOP, but they don't say that I got in EOP. And yes I am serious, my SAT scores and grades may not be the highest, but I did community service, held several jobs and had fantastic recommendations. One advantage I do think I had is the area that I live in. Most people in Brownsville tend to drop out of high school or do poorly on tests.

I hope I did get in HEOP because that's more money for me! No loans or work-study for the first year.

Striving in a place where noone else strives is an amazing characteristic. No1 should questions y u got in because there was obviously a reason. I'm sure being around the best of the best will bring out the best in u. U must be an amazing person to have gotten in so don't let people's questions bring u down. The admissions people saw potential in u and I'm sure u'll live up to it. Great job and best of luck (altho I'm not in THAT kind of a situation, I went to a highschool where people either work right after highschool (farm), go into the military, or go to the two state schools nearby. The highest ranking school sum1 else got into behind me was ranked 50. Behind him the next school was like 70 something. My highschool isn't the best at sending people to College) Congrats again and best of luck! I'm sure u'll do great.

Hey your from Brownsville, so am i :) (well i live in bed-stuy right now but so what lol). Yea Brownsville isn't the easiest place to strive and learn but nonetheless, congratulations on your acceptance and i hope that you'll do great ; and hopefully I'll join you there next year. :-D
