We are having a family dinner so I don’t see why they still want to come lol. I’ll just talk them out of it then

Mention to them that your roommate wants to bring their family too (parents, maybe a sibling or two) and that they need to be able to move around and properly fit in the room and say goodbye as well.

As for me, it’s my mom and dad (I live with my mom so we’re driving up, my dad is flying in from San Francisco) and maybe my brother (if he doesn’t have to be at school himself) and my boyfriend, if he can make it over, since he works. I helped my brother move in one year but then it was only me, him, and my mom.

3 people from my family are moving into the same city on the same day. Everyone is at a different location. My siblings will be in two different apartments in the morning; I will most likely be moving into my dorm at night. It will be a marathon of moving stuff for my family. I think there will be about 6 or 7 total helping for the 3 moves (3 of us + 4 other family members). Should be an exhausting day.

It’ll probably end up being just my mom and dad. My little brother and sister may end up coming, but I doubt it.

me…
My parents are out of the country and I lived in OK before I moved to California. It wasn’t the most fun experience settling in by myself but all in all it was ok.

Wow, 15? When my sister moved in her freshmen year, it was just my sister, brother, and mom.

This year I’m moving in by myself, but will have friends to help because for one, I’m caravan driving with one or two of my friends and for another, all of us that were friends last year are living right next to each other.

No one…and it sucked! Everyone else was surrounded by family. Two or three people seems about right. Fifteen would’ve probably made me a little self-conscious.
