With so many nearby schools, do Tufts kids ever hang out with people from MIT, BU, Harvard, etc.? Do people date people from these schools or attend social events at them? How common/uncommon is it to see people from neighboring schools on the Hill? Thanks for any insight on this aspect of Tufts social life

Anyone?..

Son will be a junior. As far as I know he went to a Harvard concert once and a BC party once.

For my DDs visits and house parties with HS friends at Wellesley, Harvard, Brandeis, BU and Northeastern. Performing groups that perform at each other’s schools (e.g. a cappella). Some athletic team mixers at Harvard. Tufts social life is generally pretty Tufts centered although there are certainly nights out in Harvard and Central Square and out in Boston where the schools mix. There are some who like the MIT frat scene. In general Boston is a big city college town so it is easy to run into students everywhere.

When there is intermixing, it seems one of the first questions is “What school do you go to?”
