I say for the win:
-Spain
-Argentina
-Brasil
(no particular order)

on a side note: GUESS WHO’S NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THE WORLD CUP (except some games on Univision)

@Thispakistanigir - Unfortunately, Egypt didn’t qualify for the world cup.

I hope Argentina, Spain, and Brazil live up to their hype

Spain… if not, I would be ecstatic if the Netherlands made it all the way this year.

Brazil, but I have faith in the US doing good this year even though the competition is very tight.

Holland! The best team in the World Cup to have never won a World Cup! :)

I want to see a USA upset over England tomorrow, though!

MEXICO!

that first game was cool to watch

As much as I love England, I would love to see a USA upset tomorrow. Honestly, may the best team win. But I’m hoping that a team who has never won before gets to win the World Cup this year. Yay underdogs! :P

By the way, Mexico should’ve won that game. I really mean it.

^How so? As much as they should have won that game, they didn’t.

Spain has never won a World Cup.

lol, yeah. They’ve failed so hard on occasion.

Pretty ironic that the supposed underdogs one would rather see win are a bunch [insert expletive] cheaters.

as for the first match of the day tomorrow, im thinking

South Korea > Greece

SK is traditionally very good playing teams like Greece.

I’m hoping that the U.S. wins.

Gonna root for Korea, but it’s gonna be Brazil and Spain in the final

I wouldn’t say “traditionally” because Greece has tall defense and that means our set piece opportunities are reduced a great amount. But we should win.

I do hope the US beat the brits. But I still want to see Mexico beat the US again.

They really should have starde! Thank you!

Mexico made a goal that wasn’t counted in the beginning!!! The idiot referee was saying some offside bull. Still a great game to watch but should have been 2-1.

Also, you know it kinda surprises me that a lot of you are American and yet you’re not all for US. Like, I’m usually for US and Mexico but it’s because I’m mexican-american. Usually people are for their own country, I mean it’s great to appreciate the other talents but I just think it’s interesting. Mostly everyone around me is for Mexico or the US or both till the two match up. I don’t like Brazil, feel like they’re kinda…overrated? Like, I still laugh at the them in 2006 but they’re sure to be better I guess. But US really has a good chance of beating England, they’re not all that good in my opinion.

I am really more of a casual observer, so I currently do not have a pick. Maybe after viewing some more of these early games I’ll find a team to root for… kind of late, but oh well.

But for now, my pick is for FIFA to ban those awful vuvuzela horns from the game. That buzzing/blasting noise drives me crazy.

First choice: Italy(Italian native)
Second Choice: USA!!!
Third Choice: The Red Fury

I hate Mexico. Aug 12th *ed me off with that dumbass of a ref making bs calls for Mexico and choking the * out of the US players while the Mexican players choked us.

The school decided to have the game on during lunch. It was fun. Everyone was out watching. The SA missing that point blank was poor. Really poor.

^ We watched the game at school as well (some of it, at least) and it was quite an enjoyable experience.

The school went crazy once mexico scored, in anger. We all wanted South Africa to win.
We pestered my British English Teacher to turn on the game.

Italy plays dirty as hell. I hate watching them play, but they’re entertaining. I like Buffon.
