and yeah nobody else applied there haha
One of my friends who’s ranked 7 got into Cornell haha
That’s about it I guess
Our Valedictorian went crazy and (thinking she’s so smart) applied to all the top ivies (harvard, yale, etc.) and didn’t get into any of them lol so there are only two of us going to really prestigious places

hehe i randomly feel like bringing up this old thread to report what happened at my school…
but me and 4 of my good friends all applied to hopkins. and we all got in. and we’re all pre-med related (but only 4 of us are BME. oh yeah, and we all got into the BME program too.)

it’s really crazy and now i’m feeling more and more honored by this fact that we all got in.
our school is only a rather large public school.
The person with the lowest stats among us 5 (like really really low stats) got in BME ED. the rest of us applied RD. We all had mediocre/high stats. lots of extracurriculars/APs/all As. SATs in the 2200s, but not 2300s.

after all this, it seems to me that to get in to hopkins, and BME even, you need a nice essay that really shows how much you want to go to JHU. i know at least the BME people all wanted to go to JHU. (only the non-BME person didn’t care for JHU as much, but she went on to be a med-scholar at another school.)
so uhhh yeah

i lost track of what i’m saying, but there’s my random input. :)

thanks. well I guess we know that they don’t have quota’s by school then right? you must go to a great high school.

what state are you from?

yeah so that’s good. hahaha
so i guess i’m pretty proud of our school in that aspect, but we’re really not that high up. Among the better schools, but no outstanding features/rankings/etc.
and we’re in California.
