Who else hates these tests?

So, I'm sure this kind of thread has been posted before, but I'm gonna keep on keepin' on.

Who's sick and tired of these SAT/ACT/AP/ABC/DEF/GHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
standardized tests? I am. This whole deal is just a giant sick scamm 2 steal our cash. Maybe the CB and other organizations should figure out that some people do some things different ways. Some people aren't good test takers, some are, some don't care. But we still have these tests, that test "aptitude." But how fair is this test, where the richer members of society can take a $1500 course to get an extra 100 points, its rediculous, and again, further proof of it's scammish-ness. Honestly, can the CB quit being greedy bastards, and get rid of these stoopid standardizations. I'm sick and tired of giving all this cash 2 these people, just so they can tell me how I rank on a bell-curve. ugh... ok, frustrated student rant over. It ain't like I had bad scores (good enough) but I just think all this ACT/SAT/AP is b.s., it just leads to boring unimaginitive curriculum that gears school towards getting good test grades than actually learning.

It sux 2, since not taking it (maybe as a form of protest?) screws u outta most schools

ugh.... that evil college board!!!

You're giving all the credit to CB! That's not fair to ETS...

some college don't aceppt the SAT anymore becuse it changes and they feel that students are stressed enough allready.

I've learned a lot from studying for these tests. Personally, I'm glad this is a part of the process.

wow, my first experience with censorship, talk about getting stuck to by the MAN whoa... scary college board, there everywhere....

swearing, terms of service violation, but most importantly: excessive punctuation in the title...lol

I thought it'd be neat if each school you wanted to apply to had their own entrance exams, and not so much MC based, but also with AP like essays.

Are you kidding? Yuck.

I don't mind tests. I'm such a geek, I think the articles in the SAT-V are interesting, and I liked a poem in the SAT-II Lit so much I looked it up when I got home from the test. (Of course, never could admit that anywhere else...)

Besides, isn't it cool that they try and measure how intelligent you are, how well you know a subject, etc., with something so easily beatable? I mean, you can prep for the SAT, and the AP tests are really a joke (90 out of 150 = 5 on AP Bio.) I think that's awesome! No IQ test, Meyers-Briggs personality exam... it's like going on Jeopardy, but getting the subjects ahead of time.

Really--think about it. It's funny.
