Who else is retiring after the June SATs/SAT IIs?

So excited to be done for good!

Yup. If I get two 800’s on the subject tests I’ll be all set lol.

really though, it will be awesome to be done before senior year starts.

Taking SAT Math and Lit - possibly adding USH. If all goes well (700s will be fine) then NEVER AGAIN.

Well - French w/listening is offered in Nov. - maaaybeeee.

I’m taking french and physics. already took math II.

likewise, if I’m bored I might go for chinese with listening… XD and if so, I might as well add chem.

i have a long way to go..
June: SAT II’s
Oct: SAT I
November: SAT I/ SAT II/ none depending on scores

May: AP tests! 5 of them…1.2.3.4.5
lol

Having already taken the SAT I and the subject tests in US history and math II, all that’s left is literature and chemistry. I’m not excited for them to be over with, though – I’m probably one of the few people who enjoys taking standardized tests.

June will be my 2nd and last time for the SAT I and October is time for SAT IIs…ugh I hate College Board.

lol, Begoner, I like them too strangely enough. just don’t like paying for them over and over again XD

anhtimmy, I was just talking about SATs…APs are a different story…lol (at least we don’t have to go to school on Saturday for those)

I actually don’t mind the tests themselves either Begoner, I just find it extremely depressing to be in school on Saturday…

yeah but still… all the money i pay to CB for those tests, i must make myself heard!
lmao.

i would die if they gave them on saturday…
because itll take at leadt 3 weeks to get them over with.
assuming they give 2 a day

I may or may not be done–help me decide!

SAT 1: 660m, 730v, 770 w

SAT 2: 690 Literature, 710 US History, Biology in a week(AHH)

I am not very good at math–usually score like 630s on practice tests, so although 660 isn’t great, I don’t know how much better it’s going to be. Also I don’t expect more than 700 on Biology. I might be able to get like 730ish on lit if i practice over the summer, but I really would love to be done with everything! SAT stress blows and I will be busy enough senior year.

I am aiming for some top 20ish schools, do you think I should retake anything?

i’m retiring from SAT IIs :P

^ to person above me, your scores are good enough that you don’t “need” to retake for top 20. (I have a 2170 with a 1490 split), but you might want to if you think you can do even a little better. Personally, I’ve seen the ranges, and 660 is like the 25th percentile on most schools, and like 720-750 is the top 75…which isn’t drastic…)

your sat iis are good too… around 700 is all you need

HA…i wish.

I still have 2 SAT II’s in October…and then I’ll be done!

Heehee, I’m so happy, I’m a junior too but I was done in December. Lala. Whee. To all sophs/juniors out there: If your class’s already finished the material on subject tests, do it ASAP. You’ll be happier later. But SAT I’ll take prep, so I’d advise to do it later.

If I get above 700’s on Math II and Bio M, I will be done with SAT’s FOREVER.

Though I still will have a lot to do senior year (because I actually have to pass all my AP’s, esp. math and sci.), at least I won’t have that dreadful, meaningless three-letter word to worry about.

If you’re bored, you might take some extra subject tests?! Wow…that is definitely not the first thing I do when I’m bored.

I’ve been done with the SAT since sophomore year…I’m coming back to take my subject tests, but I’m really hoping I’ll be done after them!

Harvey, as long as you get at least a 600 on the Biology, I think you should quit worrying about testing and spend time on essays, grades, ec’s, etc.

Retiring from SAT IIs if i get 750 + on Math IIC in two days.
One more SAT In October. :]]
DONE FOREVA.

I am done with standardized testing after this weekend!!! No more SATIIs, no SATI, no APs (b/c I can’t get credit most places i wanna go), no state standardized tests. wooO!

MidwestMom,

THANK YOU, I’ve been waiting for somebody to say that :), because it’s totally how I feel but it seems like everyone else is talking about how bad it is to take the SAT just once, and that there is no reason not to do it again, and my guidance councelor gave me a dirty look when I told her I was pretty happy and might not retake. But really, at least for me, the SATs are like a big cloud of stress, and unless they are absolutely necessary, something I’d give up my left foot for to never have to worry about again.

I won’t think about them over the summer, and then at some point next year I’ll take some practice math sections to make sure I haven’t randomly gotten much better at it–or maybe I won’t, but at least this is what I’ll tell the naysayers I’ll do so they don’t think I’m a complete slacker haha.

Again, thanks a bunch!
