Who else is waiting for April 1st, 2008?

which colleges DONT do online notification? i know most do e-mail or online but some are snail-mail only..

I'm so tired of waiting for April 1st, which is ironically april fools day.

When will this waiting end!!!! I'm getting over anxious.

I just want the college decisions to come now! If some of the colleges, which I really want to go, reject me, hopefully, I'll be able to appeal their decision and be able to receive acceptance letters from them.

If I am getting rejected, I want to know now.

Nhsharvard, you're planning on appealing? That doesn't seem fair at all. Appeals for applicants who have significant changes to their files so they NEED and DESERVE to be reconsidered. By planning on appealing no matter what, you're taking advantage of the system and screwing over applicants who should actually be reconsidered.

Yet another reason why the college application process is ******.

APRIL FOOLS!"

I'm actually really afraid of that happening. Hahaha.

i'm on the same boat with all of you.. i just don't know what to do with myself!! all i do is go on loooong runs which helps get my mind off everything (i suggest it). just thinking about college decision letters makes my stomach drop! i am so nervous but whatever happens is meant to happen.

Actually, I'll only appeal to a college that I really would want to attend. I wouldn't really appeal to every college, which denies me.

I wouldn't appeal without a reason.

Everybody has a right to appeal if they feel there has been a mistake or if there have been major changes.

However, appeals, except in the case of missing files, tend not to be very effective.

I'm obsessed with coming to CC and reading posts, etc nowadays...ahhhh
the wait is killing me...

razzle, me too!! It's a recent development, like I'm going to come on here, see something, and have an epiphany about whether I'm in or not. Very unlikely, I can't take this wait

yes basically as THE DATE gets closer i start to be more and more pessimistic about my chances. back in november i thought i would get into 4-5 out of my 6 schools that i am gonna get replies from in march/april. now i think i'm gonna get rejected from all of them except 1 or 2. this doubting myself is wearing at me. anyone else like this?

Hahah me to! I'm preparing myself for rejections.

I'm preparing myself for rejections, but the whole "crushing hope" thing is not a good influence on my health or my motivation. Why should I work if I'm not getting into my top choice anyway?

It's such a double-edged sword.

But you're still planning on appealing. Are you anticipating a situation in which you'd DASERVE an appeal? Because it sounds to me as if you're being selfish and unfair to the rest of the applicants.

Waiting for USC/UC's! Nerve-wrecking.

Don't forget this surprising statistic, folks
80% of all college students are attending their first choice! So, don't fret ;)

Somehow I feel that going on CC and spending hours reading posts about college will make the March 31 date come faster. It certainly seems to help haha.

i guess i'm part of this too :-D

On one hand I cant wait for April 1st, on the other hand its seeming WAY too soon! Although its nerve-wracking in a way its kind of nice to not know where I'll be next year... rather than having to make decisions and stuff.

March 31st.

Brown.

I got deferred Early, so it will be interesting (not to mention nerve-racking) to see what kind of decision they make. :)
