I can relate to everyone who says that they hang out way too much on CC lately.
I spend way too much time on CC and no, it's not good for my health or time management...
Although I am preparing myself for rejections, I am still keeping optimistic thoughts. Positive thinking's the only thing I could do for my apps now. :D

Remember that 80% of the people applying to college are not applying to Stanford. At CC, we're only really looking at the top 50 or so schools out of hundreds of institutions of higher learning.

Edit: I say that not to dampen anyone spirits, but when we're talking about schools with <15% acceptance rates, it behooves us to be realistic.

I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of people--the people applying to and hoping to get into state universities and other less selective schools--aren't sending applications to Ivies just for kicks, and if they are, they aren't seriously considering they'll get in (which prevents them from considering said schools their "top choice," if they have any sort of common sense).

I'm waiting on two schools...but these schools are my top two choices, so April 1 will still be pretty nerve wracking!!!

I'll also be keeping up with Duke and UNC in the NCAA tournament to pass the time (Duke is my top choice overall and UNC tied as my top choice of the schools I have already been admitted to).

That wait is killing me!!! I also seem to think that coming on here makes the time past faster........and actually it does, but then at the end of the nite I still have like 4 hrs of hmwk to do.........

I would just like to reccommend "The Gatekeepers" to everyone on collegeconfidential. I have read the book several times and I have yet to find a book that matches it in terms of helping you to feel connected to the application process once it has left your hands. Plus it is a great distraction. Enjoy!

I leave on my class trip to DC on the 2nd of April, so my first choice (Wake Forest) better come on the first!!! All my others are 'early April';I hope my trip won't be too stressful knowing the fact that the letters holding my future are sitting on my kitchen table unopened! ;O

march 31st/april 1st will either be the best or worst times of my life. we shall see. gah!!! so hard to wait when plenty of the schools probably already know our fates!
