I took a test once after staying up all night with a friend. I think I got a C.

^ Do you think it was a result of the lack of sleep or of the distraction of having a friend near you all night? I’m sure both factors had some influence. If you’d stayed up studying, do you think you’d have done markedly differently?

I stayed up tonight to finish my TASP essay…I’ll probably have enough adrenaline to keep me awake the rest of the night to do homework and study for my IB Bio quarterly.

I knew the material, but I made arithmetic mistakes, dropped terms in between steps, etc.

So it was the lack of sleep. Or possibly practice? Anyway, the different effects reduced sleep has on people are very interesting.

When I lose sleep, I do better on anything.
I don’t know, is it because I think I’m more prepared?
Case in point: sleep at 8 PM —> 2120 SAT
Sleep at 3 AM —> 2270 SAT

Sleep at 10 PM → B+ on calc midterm
Sleep at 2 AM–> 96 on calc final

Hmmm… maybe?

But really, I usually go to sleep at 1-2 AM/
