<p>i'm pretty sure there was no deposit needed, you just signed a letter and sent it in to them</p>
<p>If there's a deposit, DD is out of luck, because she was ED and we stil haven't paid.</p>
<p>Well, ED is binding, and the idea of a deposit is that you'll feel bound to go, because otherwise you'd lose $500 (or whatever it is).</p>
<p>There was not a deposit last year (it must be something new) you just filled out and sent in or faxed your letter of intent, Dartmouth sends you an e-mail confirmation.</p>
<p>uh-oh.... um, how soon after they receive the confirmation do they send a "confirmation" email?? <em>or can you assume that if you received confirmation concerning dimensions, they have received the letter of intent?</em></p>
<p>When you send in your intent to enroll they send you a confirmation e-mail with in a day. Last Year's letter (changed the Date for your class):</p>
<p>We are please to acknowledge receipt of your Statement to Enroll at Dartmouth College in September 2005 as a member of the class of 2009. In order to help you plan for your matriculation as a Dartmouth Student, you will begin to receive information in early June from vvarious campus offices, including the First Year Office, the Office of Residential Life, and Computing Servces, as wellas information on the pre-orientation First Year Trips program and the Orientation Week activities.</p>
