who hasn't hear from UCI yet?

why is it so long? I didn't know that major make a difference in their decision. If only someone told me sooner I wouldn't apply as a bio major. Now I'm doomed

Man! I just want to know if I got rejected or not. Now, it's not even a matter of if I got in or not. Why don't they just tell us!!! GRRRR

On a better note-- I got into UCD, UCSC, CalPoly SLO... what's the hold up for Irvine??

I am also waiting, though I will probably get rejected. Even if I do get in, I probably would not go there. I heard that its a boring place.

i've been to irvine because my sister goes there and it's pretty awesome.

there's lots to do around there if you have a car.

still no word for me either....

Ditto. I'm getting a little nervous..

im the starter of this thread!
i got in!! yay haha ithink most people are getting it today :]

I'm still waiting, but my stress level has gone way down because I got into UCD (1st choice) and UCSB. The slow manner in which UCI releases decisions kinda turns me off when compared to UCD's and UCSB's mass noticing approach. Just my opinion.

same here, the more research i do on UCD, the more likely i am going. Im sure it could go equally the other way around...

JMAN, those are exactly my sentiments.

i put no stock into the way they reply.

i'd just prepfer to know ASAP.

Don't rule out UCI just yet. My friend went there to attend the honor's day events, and prior to that she and I were dead set on UCLA. After she went (I didn't go) and came back, she was starting to have serious thoughts about going to UCI. Darn, lost another one to Irvine D< The campus is seriously really nice and its a good, less competitive although still known, alternative to other schools if you want to pursue a pre-med major.

I havent heard back either...but im not planning on getting in with a 3.8, 1710 haha...maybe all of my ec will make up for it?? yeah right!!

that is ridiculous to be "turned off" from UCI because of their "slow manner" with their decisions. the last day for notifications is april and it isn't april so chill out. give irvine a chance, if you feel like it. however, there is no love lost if you don't. UCI doesn't need prissy people.

Haven't got mines yet. What did you all who have already heard from them put down as your major?

blinkblink, why is it wrong to be 'turned off' by the slow manner in which a school gets back to one with decisions? I think it's only right, for it might be reflective of how the administration is. People do tend to favor prompt transparent service over slow, drawn out, opaque service.

I got in finally! baby~

Geeze, I've been accused of being a slob or maybe being too assertive, but never being "prissy". Peace...

still not in...............

this is nauseating..

which is harder to get into? UCSB or UCI?

UCI hands down. UCSB is the first school I've ever seen where the average stats of the engineering department are actually lower than the stats of regular L&S oO;;
