<p>Who here has the lowest SAT verbal in the CC Forum??
I have a 460.... pretty sure i am the lowest there is... (lowest in my school at least)</p>

<p>I'd like to hear from this year's senior class: Where were you accepted with a less than stellar critical reading score?</p>

with that score I think that you must be from a different country.
I'm not saying this to criticize but because I understand- similar status (verbal-500)</p>

<p>I am from Thailand. I am half swiss and half thai, and I am a native thai. However, since ive been in international school all my life, my english is actually better than my Thai. You see, my school only has english literature, they never teach grammar and stuff.. so yea i guess dat plays a role in my shocking 460 verbal</p>

<p>480 on verbal. Move to US 5 years ago, still struggling with comprehension and critical thinking....</p>

<p>Your score doesn't make you less of a person.. I hate how people on the board believe if your score is under 650 in verbal you must be a minority or immigrant.. that is just ignorant!</p>

<p>Any immigrant or foreigner could memorize all the endless online lists of SAT Vocab and review with Kaplan, and as a result get a 750+ score. I do believe that with Verbal, studying has more of an impact than natural ability.</p>

<p>i know a guy that went from 420 to 700 in a year... so don't be discouraged. i am sure that with a lot of hard work and dedication you can do it.. .</p>
